Wifify has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Your results stay on your device. We don't collect, sell or share your data.
What the app looks at, and why
- Your Wi-Fi connection (network name, signal strength, channel, router address) to show how your Wi-Fi is doing.
- Nearby Wi-Fi networks to show how crowded your channel is.
- Devices on your home network (their local addresses and the names your router gives them) so you can see what's connected.
Android and iPhone only let apps read Wi-Fi details after you allow location access. Wifify uses that permission only to read Wi-Fi information. It never reads, stores or sends your location. On iPhone and Mac, Wifify also asks for Local Network access, which it uses only to find the devices on your own Wi-Fi.
Speed tests
Speed tests send and receive test data to Cloudflare's public speed test servers (speed.cloudflare.com). Like any website, Cloudflare sees your internet address while the test runs. See
Cloudflare's privacy policy. Network Doctor also briefly contacts a few well-known websites to check they load.
Where your data is kept
Speed results, rooms, Room Check estimates and the list of known devices are stored only on your device. Nothing is uploaded to us. You can clear speed history in More, and uninstalling the app removes everything.
Room Check
Room Check shows an estimate based on typical router power, the distance you enter and your live Wi-Fi signal. It is not a medical measurement or a safety certification.
Children
Wifify is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children. It doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above will change too.
